Returns Policy

In accordance with the CPA, we the retailer are not under any legal obligation to accept returns of non-defective products.

A consumer loses their right of return, other than for defective or unsafe product/s, if the goods concerned have been used, disassembled, altered, permanently installed, affixed or combined with other goods.

Consumers should choose carefully and not frivolously enter into transactions in the false hope and expectation that they may return the item/s for a refund.

In the event the consumer is entitled to a refund, it is entirely acceptable for our business to request proof of purchase from the consumer.

When can a Customer Ask for a Return or Exchange?

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Several types of goods are exempt from being returned such as perishable goods or sanitary products (i.e. edibles, plant nutrition, lotions, etc).

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer without contacting us prior to sending the order back. There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:

  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
  • Any item that is returned after the cooling-off period.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your order. Should you require a refund, we will request banking details and an EFT will be made to your account within 30 days.

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again or contact your bank directly for further confirmation. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at shop@cafe420.co.za. Only regular priced items may be refunded, this means on sale items cannot be refunded.

Cooling-Off Period

Please note, the cooling-off period for returns is 5 business days.

Shipping Costs are Non-Refundable

All shipping costs are non-refundable. We will only refund shipping under certain circumstances in line with the CPA.

How Long Do Returns or Exchanges Take?

Returns and exchanges will depend on your location and product availability. We will attempt to process returns within 30 days. The time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may take longer than specified in our policies. We will keep you informed of the processing stages as they happen and tracking codes will be provided when needed.
